    RLS Global, Inc. has recently expanded with an additional location in Clayton, MO which has created an opening for a Logistics Coordinator. As a Logistics Coordinator for RLS-Clayton, you will be the intermediary between shippers and carriers. You will generate leads in order to create, develop and manage your own book of business while handling your customer’s transportation needs. You will be their point of contact to make sure their freight needs are covered from pickup through delivery. If you’re highly motivated, with good negotiation and customer services skills, and have the desire for unlimited income, then this is the right career for you!

    What We Offer:

    • $35,000 base salary plus unlimited commission

    Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

    • Make calls to establish strong relationships with carriers and customers to build and continually grow your book of business
    • Negotiate pricing with customers and carriers
    • Find capacity and coverage for new and existing customer’s shipments
    • Manage daily shipments, by coordinating pick-up and delivery schedules with shippers/consignees, then tracking and tracing to ensure pickup and delivery is on time while resolving any issues that may occur and communicating with customers on shipment status throughout the process
    • Ensuring freight paperwork is collected, organized and processed efficiently
    • Other duties that may be assigned by management

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
    • Strong communication, negotiation, decision making and time management skills with the ability to handle conflict
    • Ability to work in a face-paced environment
    • Strong competitive drive to succeed with attention to detail
    • Previous sales experience is a plus
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Current book of business or prospects is a HUGE plus, but not required
